I missed an important feature this morning and the product team let me know about it! I am so very sorry for leaving out the Design View for CSS. This allows you to edit a style visually and see the impact before working with MXML. Pure visual CSS editing.CSS Design View
CSS editing has been enhanced with a design view. CSS files now support design view and property editing.
Sorry for missing that feature, I just never thought to click the "Design View" button when looking at a CSS file. It is like an integrated Flex Style Explorer.
