Given I was away from Flex for a year working on Community programs, I have found myself needing to learn Flex 4 from scratch! ( I know it is hard to believe but I need to learn Flex 4 too! ). Last week and weekend I took my first steps into Flex 4 and although it is similar to Flex 2 & 3 there is a ton of new things to learn. The new Spark framework, new components, layout behavior, graphics tags, styling, and states syntax can be overwhelming but they add a ton of great features to Flex. Where to start?

Hey Ted, I'll help you row seeing as we're in the same boat. I'm rebulding RunPee in Flex 4. Working on it right now in fact and plan on blogging my way through the process. Fun, fun!
Awesome. the same date im back from a week in Fiji, and looking to learn Flex 4 with a fresh mind... cheers!
I'm very much into learning Flex 4 from scratch as well. I geared up for Flex 2 and 3 and didn't get as many Flex projects as I'd expected... so lots of Flex bits have leaked out of my brain.
As Flex 4 has lots of new stuff, I' happy reinvesting from scratch. Thanks for putting this together Ted.

Hey I am a newbie...learning from scratch...any pointers on training for real life projects as the books seem far off from what clients are asking for. Charting seems to be a BIG request. Thanks any help will be great. CyberLadyLindsey in Ann Arbor.
